Black Vincent is currently working on scheduling another volunteer visit to Tampa General Hospital. We'll be going as heroes and heroines. If you're interested in joining us, please contact us! So far we have:

The more heroes we have, the happier the kids will be, so please help us bring some extra happiness to some sick kids and come visit them with us!

Anyone perusing the site who has been here before may notice that some big changes are being made. That is because Black Lily Cosplay is being transitioned into a more private cosplay team rather than an open group. This may seem like an 'arrogant' move, but I am doing it for what I feel are good reasons. I am converting the group to a business which will be geared toward helping kids in need, providing character actors for events and helping local conventions get the recognition they deserve. We will most likely not be participating in any cosplay or costume contests in the future.

Our primary objective will be teaming up with local groups such as Cartoon Heroes for volunteer work around the state. We will be holding photoshoots and small events in the future, but nothing as grandiose as our outings have been in the past.

We will still have an open membership system, but only to those who are on the same page as us; we want cosplayers who want to help the community and aren't in it for the popularity and awards. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please email me. If I have left your icon on the member page, consider it that I have not removed you from the group. If your member icon is not there, you have been dropped from the group. If you believe that you can prove your dedication to the cause, contact me and I will reinstate you.

Black Lily Cosplay teamed up with Black Vincent to set up a nice volunteer visit to Tampa General Hospital. The kids loved it and we can't wait to do it again! For pics, see the Characters Gallery.

With the end of October comes the end of many fun events! Albums for both Screamfest (AKA Spooky Empire's Ultimate Horror Weekend) and Mickey's Not-so-Scary Halloween Party are up in the Gallery. A few of the group did do some local Trick-or-Treating to promote the site on Halloween night, but unfortunately we weren't able to get many pictures.

Next up is still MegaCon in February! We have a Teen Titans (Animated) group and some other stuff happening so check the Planned Costumes page for information~!

Finally, as always, we're on the lookout for character actors for our kid parties! If you're interested, you can apply by emailing me. If you want to hire one of us, check out our Character Actors page!

Necro, here~! After a long vacation, I have finally returned with pictures from my first out-of-state con, New York Anime Festival!!! Pictures are being edited and uploaded currently and will be online soon! If you met me there, or somehow happened upon a card, please have fun browsing around the site!

Everyone in Black Lily should be aware that Screamfest is fast approaching! Please let me know if you're coming with us or if you need a ride. Marvel Zombies will be our costume group plan so if you want in, let me know!!!

Thirdly, my Halloween Party will be on Nov 1st. If you'd like to attend, please let me know. Costumes are a must, even if they are closet costumes =3 On Halloween itself, some Black Lily members will be Trick-or-Treating in Lakeland at a really big neighborhood which has been giving out the best candy selection in Polk County (I think, lol) for many years. So if you want to come then as well, do let me know!

Anime Festival Orlando has ended but the memories will never fade! Pictures can be found in the Gallery. Gittel Graham got lots of photos of many fantastic cosplayers so be sure to check them out! Feel free to use them on your site but if you do, please link back to us!

Before I continue, I would like to announce officially after speaking with both of my other Lilium members, that Sango has been promoted to the Lilium!!! Congrats, Sango!!! I'll be making you a spiffy profile page and moving your icon up to the Lilium section for all to see =3

Moving on! Next up for Black Lily is ScreamFest and Megacon, for which we have planned a Marvel Zombies group and Teen Titans (animated) group planned respectively. If you'd like to join either, please email me, Necro!

MetroCon has come to a close, and with it, con-goers begin to feel the sadness of another con passed. But we had fun and it has been immortalized in our Gallery! We have many pictures of our members and, of course, of other cosplayers, so go have a look!

Black Lily Cosplay's next con is MetroCon in Tampa, Fl on July 18-20! Cosplay plans include a small Guilty Gear group, a small Avatar: The Last Airbender Group and various other random cosplays. VIEW PHOTOSHOOT COSTUME RULES HERE!

Basic Details: This shoot will be open to all Black Lily Members, all cosplayers with affiliations to Black Lily and any friends/family of members. If you are thinking of joining, this is a great way to check us out!

The theme has been decided as Western/Wild West because it is inexpensive, simple or elaborate and I know plenty of ranches nearby for the shoot. I'm still locating a solid place for us to meet for the shoot but it will be in Lakeland for sure. This makes it easy for people from all over the state, especially Orlando and Tampa because it's right in between the two.

The shoot will take place on June 21st. Please send me an RSVP via email or myspace or IM or however so I can put you on the list of attendees. After the shoot, all members are welcome to come back to my place for pizza, snacks and video games.

Necro's Re-Birthday went off without a hitch! Pictures will be posted in the Gallery. Thanks to all who came! We had a blast!

Well, for my 18th birthday, I wanted to do something fun, in costume with my best friends from Black Lily. So I decided on the Pirates Dinner Adventure Show in Orlando. Well, we were all set with 11 people in pirate garb, all hyped up and ready to go. The cake was waiting for pick-up at the supermarket around the corner, decorated also in piratical fashion. Well we all sat and waited and waited...and waited and waited for our limo that came 30 minutes late. The limo was white and covered in scrapes. We entered it to find the boards behind the seats to be exposed, showing rust. Everything but the bar-light dimmers and radio was non-operational. The chillers were not working, leaving the sodas warm. And as we set off toward the dinner show, assuming we would arrive late, we learned we would not arrive at all when one of the tires on the limo blew. In our pirate garb, 11 people filtered out into the field next to I-4 and waited for the tire to be changed. By the time it was finished, it was too late and we headed back home. So instead we decided to go back to my house and party. Pictures in the Gallery. The new date for the Pirate Dinner Adventure is May 24th. Those who are going plan to free your schedules please!

As some of you may have noticed, our Gallery was down. Unfortunately I had to have a friend set it up on a different server than this site and the host of that server decided to shut down with no warning. That friend had thankfully set up a new one! Pictures were re-uploaded but the new host shut down as well. So finally we have a new host which is being paid for so hopefully it won't shut down like the others. We also now have a second Gallery for Gittel Graham Photography. The links are:

Updated 4-2-08: As the Renaissance Festival season comes to a close and the convention season begins, I think it's a fantastic time for Black Lily to have another photoshoot. For those who know, our last photoshoot was our first back in November. We had a fantastic turn-out and the pictures were great. So, I'd like to organize a second one. This shoot will be open to all Black Lily Members, all cosplayers with affiliations to Black Lily and any friends of any members. If you are thinking of joining, this is a great way to check us out!

The theme right now seems to be leaning toward Western/Wild West because it is inexpensive, simple or elaborate and I know plenty of ranches nearby for the shoot. This can still be changed so if you have any other ideas, let me know.

Please send your suggestions to me, Necro, by either IM, email, text, Myspace...however you prefer to contact me. I will be taking all suggestions into consideration before deciding. Please keep in mind that the time-frame for this shoot will be mid-late June, so very bulky or warm costumes are not recommended.

The tentative date for the shoot is June 21, 2008. This is subject to change. Location is still being determined but it looks like it will be in Lakeland due to the number of people coming from towns on both sides of the spectrum and the copious amount of ranch locations.

Black Lily Cosplay has been in attendance of the Bay Area Renaissance Festival since its opening every Sunday with the exception of MegaCon weekend. For the final two weekends, BLC will be attending on Saturdays (March 29th and April 5th). The final day of the Ren-Fest is Sunday, April 6th. If you would like to come along, please give Necro an email, call, text, IM or some other notification. She can either drive you there or Black Lily will meet you there. The hours of the Ren-Fest are 10AM-6PM, we are there for the entire time, and you can find more information on their website: HERE

I am so pleased to announce that Black Lily's first official photoshoot was a wonderful success! Thanks to everyone who came, and apologies to those who could not! We missed you!
